Greetings devroom managers,
We have made a schedule for the developer rooms (see below).
This list will also be announced on our website later today.
Most devrooms issue a Call for Papers at this point. It's not
compulsory, some use different processes. If you publish your CfP,
please send a copy to <
fosdem@lists.fosdem.org>. We will put a link
to this on our website, just like last year:
https://archive.fosdem.org/2016/news/2015-10-22-accepted-devrooms/
Feel free to use last year's entries for inspiration, or contact us
at <
devrooms@fosdem.org> for suggestions and pointers.
Remind yourself of the expectations for devrooms on the submission form
https://submission.fosdem.org/devroom.php
Full details of all talks and speakers that you schedule must be
submitted into our Pentabarf conference system, which is used to
generate our website by 11th December. To save entering everything
yourself, you can ask people to propose talks through
https://fosdem.org/submit
reminding them that if they already have an account from a previous year
they should re-use it - our website links speakers to all their talks
across all the years of FOSDEM. Submitters should select the appropriate
developer room as 'Track' in their submission.
Devroom managers can use the Pentabarf system to review and select
talks, and transfer them between devrooms if appropriate. More details
about Pentabarf will follow soon. Note that we have not set up the
permissions for devroom managers yet, so you will not be able to review
devroom submissions, even if you had access last year. This will be
configured soon.
