This is the call for participation for the Audio, Video, Graphics and Podcast Creation Devroom (AVG) at FOSDEM 2027.
The Devroom will take place on Saturday Morning, January 30th, at the ULB Campus, in Brussels, Belgium.
We are inviting presentations about open source graphics, video and audio creation and editing tools. For 2027, we are also adding Podcast Software to the devroom. Such presentations may include:
- Video editing & production: non-linear editors (Kdenlive, Shotcut, Olive, Blender VSE), live production (OBS Studio), encoding (FFmpeg, GStreamer), motion graphics.
- Graphics & animation: raster and vector editing (GIMP, Krita, Inkscape), RAW photography (Darktable, RawTherapee), 2D/3D animation (Blender, Synfig, Pencil2D).
- Audio and Podcast editing & production: DAWs and sequencers (Ardour, LMMS, Zrythm, Rosegarden), audio editors (Audacity), DJ tools (Mixxx), plugin ecosystems (JACK, Carla, LV2/VST
Note that we are looking for presentations on how you use open source software to create podcasts. This is not the platform to only promote your own podcast.
Each talk will be limited to 25 minutes (including questions).
We also like to use this opportunity to foster discussions and collaborations among users and developers of open source audio, video, graphics and podcast creation tools.
