Penta "Passwords do not match" error on save
Hey guys, I'm getting reports from a speaker that they get a "Passwords do not match" error when they try to save their info in the Person tab. Is something going on? Regards, Mahmoud Abdelghany Sent with [ProtonMail](https://protonmail.com/) Secure Email.

When editing the person, check the account tab (on the top row) to make sure that an overly enthousiastic password manager/browser has not filled one of the password fields. That is the most likely reason for this error.
Got the same issue, happened when you try to save your profile info but you don’t have the second field of password filled in! Yes, this is a known problem with some web browsers that try to be helpful by pre-filling one of the two password change fields. It's not obvious if the field is in a hidden tab that you didn't even view. Just blank out the field. Maybe we should fix the back-end to ignore password change attempts unless both fields are supplied. Alasdair
Thanks Alasdair, Orlin! Will tell the speaker about these solutions/workarounds. Regards, Mahmoud Sent with ProtonMail Secure Email. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ Original Message ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ On Thursday, December 16th, 2021 at 12:28 AM, Alasdair G Kergon <agk@fosdem.org> wrote:
