[FOSDEM] FOSDEM needs your help

Hi all,

As you are surely aware, FOSDEM is coming up again on the 4th and 5th
February next week. As always, we will need volunteer help to serve several
thousand members of the FLOSS community.

You can find and pick your favorite task(s) via the following link:
https://volunteers.fosdem.org/tasks

There are a lot of tasks that can use more volunteers and every
contribution is appreciated. Right now are missing a lot of:

- heralding volunteers. They moderate talks by helping the speaker finish
on time and prevent rooms from getting too full and becoming unsafe.
- video volunteers. They help take care of the cameras and the boxes used
for livestream and recording.
- InfoDesk volunteers on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. They take
donations, give directions and generally help attendees.

You need to register and sign in before you can fill in any tasks on the
volunteers tool.

Check out the updated FAQ, especially the Communication section where you
can find out about IRC, the volunteers mailing list, and other ways of
getting in touch during the event. https://volunteers.fosdem.org/faq/

Finally, O'Reilly have generously offered a free ebook AND a heavy discount
on certain technical books to FOSDEM volunteers. It will be easy to take
advantage of their offer: just sign up to the tool and volunteer mailing
list, we will send more information shortly.
