I've been around since 1994 when we started OSDEM. Still going strong. We used to think that 200 people was a lot of visitors. I've written for GNU/Linux magazines for twenty years. The above page is a RISC-V review. Might be of some interest to someone out there. Hopefully we can look forward to many more FOSDEMs.. -- Richard http://www.sheflug.org.uk/indexpage -- Richard From richard.ibbotson at gmail.com Wed Jun 12 18:54:38 2019 From: richard.ibbotson at gmail.com (Richard Ibbotson) Date: Wed, 12 Jun 2019 16:54:38 +0000 Subject: [FOSDEM] CERN Message-ID: Hi Might be of some interest to FOSDEM visitors. When we built OSDEM back in the 90's and FOSDEM was being formed the people at CERN were using a lot of GNU/Linux. Sadly they moved to Microsoft. With the advent of winduhs 10 CERN have decided to go somewhere else... https://home.cern/news/news/computing/microsoft-alternatives-project-malt Such as... Where do you want go tomorrow ? A lot of people who visit FOSDEM have shown interest in CERN. So, read the page and see what you make of it. -- Richard http://www.sheflug.org.uk/indexpage
