[FOSDEM] Identity and Access management devroom CFP for FOSDEM 2025

Hi!

This is a call for proposals for the Identity and Access Management
Devroom: https://iam-devroom.github.io/fosdem-2025/. The CfP closes by
Sunday, December 1, 2024, so if you want to participate be sure to apply
before that date.

# Identity and Access Management Devroom @ FOSDEM'2025

[FOSDEM 2025](https://fosdem.org/2025/) will have an [identity and access management
devroom](https://fosdem.org/2025/schedule/track/identity-and-access-management/).

The IAM devroom is scheduled to be held on the **Sunday**,
**February 2nd, 2025** in Brussels, Belgium at [ULB](http://www.ulb.ac.be/).
Exact room allocation will be known in December 2024.

## Our topics this year

This is the Identity and Access Management Devroom and we invite you to
submit a talk that is relevant to operating systems' identity and access
management in the free software and open source world.  We don't exclude
any relevant submission, for ideas and suggestions please check the
previous editions of IAM devroom at [FOSDEM
2018](https://archive.fosdem.org/2018/schedule/track/identity_and_access_management/)
or [FOSDEM
2024](https://archive.fosdem.org/2024/schedule/track/identity-and-access-management/).

Suggested topics:

- Security: a particular focus on quantum-resistant cryptography updates
  in identity management

- Passwordless authentication mechanisms: OAuth2, FIDO2, PIV...

- Federated and social identity; leveraging external identities at
  operating systems level

- User experience, desktop integration

- Free software IAM offerings; migrating from or integrating with
  proprietary solutions

- Audit, compliance and monitoring

- IAM/IdM deployment reports

and more. Don't be shy and show how your project helps to improve our
lives.

## Submissions

Submissions require a small abstract and a short speaker description and
must be submitted [via the Pretalx system](https://fosdem.org/submit) no
later than **1st of December 2024**. Suggested duration for a timeslot
to apply for is **25 minutes** (20 min presentation + 5 mins questions).

The schedule shall be finalized by **15 December 2024**.

Note that last year the system was changed from pentabarf to pretalx and
the accounts were not migrated. So if last year you did not submit any
talk proposals this year you will have to create a new account.
