[FOSDEM] Call for Participation: Free Java devroom

We’re excited to announce the Call for Participation for the Free Java
devroom for FOSDEM 2025!

FOSDEM will take place between *February 1st and 2nd of 2025* in Bruxelles,
Belgium; refer to the FOSDEM website for the event schedule:

The Free Java devroom has become unique in that it has attracted hackers
from many different Free Software Java projects. It provides an opportunity
to bring everything that forms the Free Java Universe together, including
companies of various sizes, different project communities, mainstream core
Java developers, and alternative Java language implementations and
runtimes. It allows all participants to share their knowledge in an
atmosphere of cooperation and friendly competition.

The Java Community is healthier than ever, and this is in part thanks to
all of you who contributed over the years, so come and share your
experiences at the Free Java devroom at FOSDEM!

*Important Dates*

The Free Java devroom will be held on *February 1st *(Saturday, full day)
from 10:30 until 19:00 CET.

   - Call for participation(CfP) opens on *October 30, 2024*
   - Submission for CfP closes on *December 1, 2024* (there will be no
   extensions of this deadline)
   - Selected CfPs to be published on *December 15, 2024*



*Call for Participation Submissions*
Please submit your proposals on Pretalx, FOSDEM's submissions tool, at
https://pretalx.fosdem.org/fosdem-2025/cfp

*Note:* We will not be accepting proposals submitted outside of Pretalx.
For example, submissions via mailing list.

   - Submissions will require a small abstract and a short speaker
   description
   - Suggested duration for a timeslot is 25 minutes (20 min presentation,
   5 mins for questions)
   - Talks are in-person only, no remote presentations
