[FOSDEM] Call for participation: Gaming and VR Devroom 2026

Hello!
This will be the first instance of the Gaming and VR devroom at FOSDEM,
and we are looking for propositions of talks.
FOSDEM is one of the largest gatherings of Free and Open Source Software
contributors in the world and happens every February in Brussels
(Belgium, Europe).
# About the Gaming and VR devroom
The Gaming/VR devroom will focus on all Free and Open Source gaming, VR
and related projects. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Open Games.
- Open VR software and hardware.
- Open gaming related hardware.
- Gaming and VR engines.
- Related components.
# Submission details
The deadline for submission is: December 1st, 2026.
* To submit your proposal, visit: https://fosdem.org/submit
* IMPORTANT: Please make sure to select the "Gaming and VR" track for
your submission.
Your submission must include the following information:
- The title of your talk (please be descriptive)
- An abstract: a short (single paragraph) text detailing what the talk
will discuss, and why attendees should attend it
- Feel free to put anything you think might be important for us to
know in selecting your talk in "Submission notes".
* We are aiming for ~25 minutes per talk (including questions) but
please do include a note (in "submission notes") if your talk
could/should be shorter/longer.
* Selected talks will be notified December 15th 2026 or earlier.
* All sessions will be recorded and be made available under CC-BY
license by FOSDEM at https://video.fosdem.org/ .
* You have to be present in Brussels in-person on Sunday, February 1st, 2026.
