We welcome any relevant submission! For inspiration, check out the schedules from <span class="gmail-"><span class="gmail-ng-star-inserted"><a target="_blank" rel="noopener" href="https://archive.fosdem.org/2018/schedule/track/identity_and_access_management/" class="gmail-ng-star-inserted">2018</a></span></span>, <span class="gmail-"><span class="gmail-ng-star-inserted"><a target="_blank" rel="noopener" href="https://archive.fosdem.org/2024/schedule/track/identity-and-access-management/" class="gmail-ng-star-inserted">2024</a></span></span>, and <a href="https://archive.fosdem.org/2025/schedule/track/iam/">2025</a>.</p><p>Our suggested topics for 2026 include:</p><ul><li><p>The future of authentication:</p><ul><li><p>The path to ubiquitous Passwordless: Passkeys, FIDO2, OAuth2, and PIV in practice.</p></li><li><p>Beyond Centralization: Decentralized Identity (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs).</p></li><li><p>Integrating federated and social identities at the OS level.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Core infrastructure & security:</p><ul><li><p>Preparing for Y2Q: Implementing quantum-resistant cryptography (QRC).</p></li><li><p>DNS and Identity: Securing domains for identity services.</p></li><li><p>Identity in the Software Supply Chain (e.g., Sigstore).</p></li></ul></li><li><p>User experience & integration:</p><ul><li><p>Integrating modern auth in desktop environments (GNOME, KDE) and admin tools.</p></li><li><p>Improving the UX for multi-factor authentication.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Project showcases & case studies:</p><ul><li><p>FOSS IAM offerings, migration stories, and integration with proprietary solutions.</p></li><li><p>Real-world IAM/IdM deployment reports and war stories.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p>...and anything else you're passionate about! Show us how your project is changing the game. If you think it's interesting, submit it!</p><h2>Submission details</h2><div><ul><li>Format: we are looking for 25-minute talks (which includes 20 minutes for your presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A).</li><li>Deadline: November 30, 2025.
