Title: SWT to GTK 3 port and future (or do Java UI libraries have a future)

Abstract:

Java UI libraries have always been in the two ends of the (host system integration)
spectrum and somehow always suffered from their integration with the
host system.

SWT is a Java UI library aiming to provide efficient,
portable access to the user-interface facilities of the operating
systems on which it is implemented.

The talk will focus on issues uncovered while working on making SWT
run on GTK 3.x, potential future enhancements and a bit of retrospective
about what SWT project did wrong in the past to make supporting new
version of the underlying library *a* bumpy road.
