FOSDEM 2025 Security Devroom

Hi

There will be a Security Devroom at FOSDEM'2025!

Help organizing this is appreciated, we can use this list to discuss. 
Maybe we can spread the news a bit to get some more volunteers.  Lukas,
Jakub and me has volunteered so far.

First things is to finalize a Call for Participation, what do you think
about the starting point below?  Copied from an earlier CfP, the detail
about submissions is not published by FOSDEM yet, and I don't think the
links work and may have changed.  Please propose changes, especially if
you can think of some new topic of interest (the current one is
intentionally fuzzy to allow everything).

## Overview

When: February 1-2th, 2025
Where: Brussels, Belgium at ULB
How: physical event

## Our topics this year

This is the Security Devroom and we invite you to submit a talk that is
relevant to security in the free software and open source world. We
want to encourage all interesting security-related presentation
regardless of topic, but some suggested topics include:

-    Supply chain security: Trust and verifiability
-    Software quality tools and best practices
-    Cryptography: classic and post-quantum
-    Hardware-assisted security improvements
-    Security hardening, vulnerability handling and threat detection

## Submissions

Submissions require a small abstract and a short speaker description
and must be submitted [via the Pentabarf 
system](https://penta.fosdem.org/XXX)
no later than **1st of December 2024**. Suggested duration for a 
timeslot to apply for is **25 minutes**
(20 min presentation + 5 mins questions). The schedule shall be 
finalized by **15 December 2024**.

   * If you don't have an account from previous years, register
   * Create a new event with your title and abstract and some 
information about you
   * Be sure to set the event track to "Security devroom"
