Why not mention that people that come to Brussels by train can also take the train from 1 of the 3 main Brussels train stations to Ottignies & Louvain-la-Neuve and step off at the Etterbeek train station. From there it's only a 15 min walk to the FOSDEM location. And as Etterbeek is still inside the Brussels region, this is already included in your train ticket... :-)
Jan, This is indeed possible, but someone not used to Brussels will have issues finding his way for that 15 min walk. This means we also have to provide a detailed map for that walk. Compared to the bus from the main train stations that stops right at the ULB it is more risky. To keep things stupid, simple we also try to keep the list of possible ways as short as possible.
