From now on mailman just the mails that contain the "X-Spam-Flag: YES"
Finally we got a working system against spam. Recently you might have discovered that there was a LOT spam entering this list. To keep it short: Every mail detected as spam won't (shouldn't) be accepted in the list. A little longer story about spam-filtering this list... First of all, this list must stay completely open for non-subscribers. Spammers being also non-subscribers it is quite difficult to prevent them from spamming this list. First of all, we recently migrated to the good old spamassassin with some plugins. It looks like the hitratio is very high, but to prevent mail-loss we currently tag the spam mails with *****SPAM***** in the header. In the future we might drop them to keep the inbox empty. You, as a subscriber of this list, might think that mails in here aren't that important, so the result of dropping a ham mail thinking it is spam is not very important. header added by our spamassassin. We just tested it on another list and it looks like it works fine. So enjoy this spam-less list and invite all your friends in here :-) See you soon at FOSDEM 2007 !
