Dear All, We love the mobile schedule apps! You can find a list of apps we know about here: https://fosdem.org/2013/schedule/mobile/ Do you know about more apps? More platforms? Tell us about it! To thank the mobile app developers, and to stimulate the continued development of the apps, we are offering a free FOSDEM t-shirt to the mobile app developers! Here is the deal: - The app must work with the 2013 schedule (preferably pre-loaded) - Must be open-source, with browseable sources - Simple forks don't count, ports to other platforms do if build scripts are available - Only applicable to the developers that will be at FOSDEM in person To get the t-shirt(s), the lead developer of the mobile app should contact us on info@fosdem.org with the list of developers that will be at FOSDEM and that have made a significant contribution to the project. (We reserve the right to modify the conditions of the offer to avoid abuse or clear out ambiguities.) In name of FOSDEM, Tias This announcement on our website: https://fosdem.org/2013/news/2013-01-20-mobile-schedule-apps/-

That's pretty cool, and a good opportunity for me to whinge about t-shirts (again [1]). :) Are labour standards [2] and environmental issues [3][4] considered for this year's t-shirts? Labour standards: yes. (And that goes for every FOSDEM edition). B&C are part of the Kwintet Group, a "Fair Wear" brand: http://www.fairwear.org/528/company/kwintet_group/?companyId=56 Organic: no. We could not source a sufficient quantity in a reasonable colour. If you can point me to a supplier with a reasonable colour selection in time for next year, I'll pick this up again. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Senior Reality Engineer Ministry of Information

Actually, it might surprise you to learn that FOSDEM isn't organised over a couple of days starting in the middle of January. T-shirts don't magically appear in quantity right when we need them. A good time to "whinge" is around September. Instead of "whinging", a list of potential brands would also be much more useful. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Senior Reality Engineer Ministry of Information

Are you telling me FOSDEM magic [1] is only proverbial? Then it must be a lot of work making it so awesome every year.

I always fail to think about it in September. But I will get back to you on this for next year. [1] http://news.java-virtual-machine.net/1162.html

I need to order FOSDEM 2014 t-shirts soon. Unless you can point me at a brand and/or a supplier in the next couple of days, we will have the same as previous years. Fair wear, no children harmed, etc etc, but not as green as they could be. If you can point me at a greener solution, with an appropriate variety of sizes, colours and shapes, who can deliver the quantities we need to our printer, we'd be happy to consider them. Please add ConfClerk to the list: - homepage, source, svn repo: http://www.toastfreeware.priv.at/confclerk - packaged for Debian, Ubuntu, and Maemo5 (It's the successor of (fosdem-schedule/)fosdem-maemo which can be removed from the list.) Hi everyone, With all this talk of mobile applications I thought I'd let you know that I have been working on fixing up the FOSDEM iPhone application for use at this year's event. It has now been submitted to Apple for review and so should be available in next few days. The update this year now allow events to be viewed on a track by track basis as well as the application including the updated FOSDEM branding. The original application as well as this update have been developped by both myself and Leon Handreke. The source code for the application can be found on Github [1] and is released under the Beerware License. The app has favorites section, but I see no way to mark a talk (or a devroom, or anything) as a favorite. Am I doing something wrong, or is the feature not implemented yet? Željko

I just downloaded the release version off the App Store, as the button displayed fine on my development version, and it would appear that the images that are meant to be displayed on the favourites button are not being displayed. The button for adding favourites is still active and is in the centre of the bar at the bottom of articles. You can tap that area and the article should get added to the list of favourites. Hope that helps, Adam

It works! All you have to know is that the favorite button is invisible. :) Thanks, Željko

I have now fixed the problem and the update should already be available to download from the AppStore. Cheers, Adam

It works for me. What happens if you force quit the app and try again?
