1 the beer event on friday was for me (an 75 years old expert in software and beer) not accessible... A crowd before the three entries of Delirium, all equipped with beer and I'm standing dry and could not enter the premises... 2 the Saturday was nice and I met who I want to see and found what I want to know 3 at Sunday I went back home, because I feel that it was to cold to walk again around the campus of ULB 4 on Saturday I had a nice lunch (baguette cheese and Liption Tea) in the small canteen 5 next year I'll skip Friday-evening beer, that's nice for my young successors; come on Saturday morning and leave Sunday evening; I'll be equipped as back-packer with very warm clothing! I'll use the same Capital Hotel that is very nice with free WiFi and good breakfast en beds! Best regards, Dick Stomp

Yeah, the Beer event was fun and all, but it has grown a bit out of control in my opinion. I didn't have that many problems the past years. At some point we were stuck in the middle of a pushing crowd and there was a pregnant lady with us, so we got quite scared and we ended up split. I had a couple of tokens with me but decided to give up, asked the guy to take them back so that I could reach my people, and he firmly denied. Not a big deal, but it pisses you off after you've done so many donations of all kind and somebody refuses a simple courtesy like this. Perhaps it makes sense to either try some more crowd control (the two guys of the security were really helpless with so many people) or split the event in more pubs around the area. But well, this is also part of the fun I guess! Overall the experience was great, and the organisers did an amazing job. You right Dick, the beer event always crowded as we see more attendees every year. In the other hand most of the exponent (projects / distros / so on) uses to have their own beer event at the same time.
May I suggest the Fosdem crew, next year, to try to promote some of those those 'unofficial' event in their web page, letting people know all the good places to take a drink in Brussels. That way, attendees can move from bar to bar, meeting new peoples according with their interests, and finally we will help to break the bottleneck around the main beer event.
Hi All, Sorry for late reply i was too busy in a cyber security exercise . This was my first Talk and Visit at FOSDEM . I really appreciate the great effort by team . Specially i was amazed the ladies cleaning our shits in toilets, They done the Amazing job we hate :) . The only issue was that people were continue coming even after signed "Full room" But that is educational issue not management . Thanks to great team of Fosdem without them we could not had such a great event.
