Hi, Is there an hacking room during Fosdem, and what are the opening hours of such room? And how many seats? I want to organise a meeting with other people on testing BATMAN (Better Approach To Mesh Ad-hoc Networking). Best, -- Benjamin Henrion <bhenrion at ffii.org> FFII Brussels - +32-484-566109 - +32-2-4148403
Hi,
Is there an hacking room during Fosdem, and what are the opening hours of such room? And how many seats?
I want to organise a meeting with other people on testing BATMAN (Better Approach To Mesh Ad-hoc Networking).
Benjamin, Thank you for this proposition, but the Hacker room will only be used to provide a calm environment for the visitors where they can code a bit, check their mails or similar things. It will not be used to give lectures or tutorials. Thank you for your comprehension. Sincerely Yours Christophe

This is not important as this room will *NOT serve as lecture room*. I don't know if that's such a good idea, because the capacity of air is limited, and FOSDEM's own WLAN is relied upon to serve the visitors. //mirabile -- "Using Lynx is like wearing a really good pair of shades: cuts out the glare and harmful UV (ultra-vanity), and you feel so-o-o COOL." -- Henry Nelson, March 1999

WLAN during hacker events where everybody comes with his laptop is always a mess, and rarely works. At least, this is my experience of previous Fosdem's, or other CCC congresses. -- Benjamin Henrion <bhenrion at ffii.org> FFII Brussels - +32-484-566109 - +32-2-4148403

This edition we took another turn concerning the wireless network. We'll see if it will be successfull. -- Christophe Vandeplas cvandeplas@fosdem.org http://www.fosdem.org
