I want to organise a meeting with other people on testing BATMAN (Better Approach To Mesh Ad-hoc Networking). I don't know if that's such a good idea, because the capacity of air is limited, and FOSDEM's own WLAN is relied upon to serve the visitors.
WLAN during hacker events where everybody comes with his laptop is always a mess, and rarely works. At least, this is my experience of previous Fosdem's, or other CCC congresses.
This edition we took another turn concerning the wireless network. We'll see if it will be successfull. -- Christophe Vandeplas cvandeplas@fosdem.org http://www.fosdem.org
