Hello, Here is a talk proposal for the Java Devroom 2019. Title: Fix your Java code with Kotlin Abstract: The Kotlin programming language gained a lot of popularity lately in the Java community. It is in spirit a true successor to Java, designed to make the life of developers easier. Instead of focusing on shiny new features, this talk will try to demonstrate how Kotlin handles common programming patterns in a safer and more elegant way compared to Java. We'll discuss null safety, automatic casting, immutability, variance and more. Kotlin is an open source project developed by JetBrains with a very active community, and one of the fastest evolving languages running on the JVM.
