The enthusiasm of your replies goes a long way, it is commendable.

Nonetheless, in every event, there are some key people who simply put in
a whole load of work that most of us never see.  Some of these key
people can't be substituted.

If they do all that work and the event is canceled at the last minute
then it is not really noticed and I want to thank those people in advance.

I don't think things will be like this forever.  That is just the way it
is today.
