Hi all,
We are pleased to announce that the Confidential Computing devroom will
return to FOSDEM 2026. The devroom will take place on Sunday, February 1,
2026 (9:00-13:00) in Brussels, Belgium. We are now accepting talk proposals
through the FOSDEM Pretalx system <https://pretalx.fosdem.org/fosdem-2026/>.
The full CfP can be found here: https://falder.org/fosdem26-cfp.
This will be the seventh edition of the devroom, continuing our focus on
the open-source ecosystem around hardware-based Trusted Execution
Environments (TEEs), also known as Confidential Computing.
We invite submissions addressing any aspect of free and open-source
confidential computing, including but not limited to:
-
Programming frameworks and operating system support for TEEs
-
Open-source attestation and deployment frameworks
-
Cloud-native confidential computing use cases
-
Language and compiler support for trusted hardware
-
TEE-specific attacks, mitigations, and reverse engineering
-
Open enclave architectures (RISC-V, GPUs, accelerators, etc.)
-
Visions and discussions on future trusted hardware
This year, attestation-related topics are again welcome in our devroom.
Key dates (Brussels time):
-
Submission deadline: December 1, 2025
-
Notification of acceptance: December 15, 2025
-
Devroom date: February 1, 2026 (Sunday, 9:00-13:00)
Talk slots are generally 20-40 minutes including Q&A, but shorter
presentations (around 10 minutes) for focused ideas or discussion points
are also welcome.
Looking forward to FOSDEM!
Ilaria, on behalf of the Confidential Computing Devroom organizers
