Hello,
The Browser and Web Platform Devroom invites proposals for talks
exploring the
technologies, standards, and engines that power the modern web.
For more than two decades, browsers have shaped how people experience the
internet. This devroom aims to bring together diverse voices and talents
from
across browser and web-engine projects - including Firefox, Chrome, Safari,
Edge, Ladybird, Servo, and others - to share insights, challenges, and
innovations that advance an open, interoperable, and privacy-respecting web.
We welcome talks that cover (but are not limited to):
* Browser engine architecture and rendering pipelines (Gecko, Blink, WebKit,
etc.)
* Web standards development and implementation experiences
* Performance, security, and energy efficiency improvements
* Privacy and data-protection features
* Interoperability testing and conformance tooling
* Accessibility, usability, and developer experience on the web platform
* AI and ML applications in browsers and web engines
* Building new browsers or experimenting with alternative architectures
(e.g.
Servo, Ladybird)
* The impact of regulation (such as the EU’s DMA or CRA) on browser
innovation
and user choice
Our goal is to foster open discussion and collaboration between the many
projects working to make the web better for everyone — from long-established
browser vendors to emerging independent initiatives.
