Title:
Is There Life After 7u80?
Abstract:
The JDK 7u80 release is expected to be the last Oracle-led JDK 7u
release developed as part of the OpenJDK JDK 7 Update Project. At this
point, OpenJDK community development efforts have shifted towards JDK 8
Update, JDK 9 and related Projects targeting JDK 10 and beyond.
In this session, we'll discuss different directions the JDK 7 Updates
Project in OpenJDK could take after JDK 7u80, and try to sense if it's
destined for a well-deserved retirement, or some form of afterlife.
