No it isn't. The current model is working well. We're not going to spend any time trying to fix imaginary problems.
Maybe I haven't understood nothing, but in http://fosdem.org/2012/schedule/track/embedded_devroom in the right side of the page below "Info" box I don't find any slide. I don't exactly complain about this, I think should be really nice also for speakers to have their slides here. If I can help... Bye, Raffaele
