Are talk slots still available?
Hello! I might seem a little late for this - I'm just surprised that the main track program has been released. I was on the watch for an official call for papers but never saw it... I have two questions: 1. Is it still possible to make a submission for a talk? I proposed one though the web form but got no answer 2. Is it possible to make a submission for a lightning talk? Sorry for the disturbance and thanks in advance for your answer. Olivier Cleynen. GNU/Linux Matters http://www.gnulinuxmatters.org/

We currently don't work with a call-for-papers. This edition we did do a brainstorm: <http://fosdem.org/2008/brainstorm> Next time we'll see how we can ask input from the visitors.
I have two questions:

If you have a subject that might interest a selected developer room feel free to contact us (info@) and we'll forward the proposal. For the list of devrooms: <http://fosdem.org/2008/schedule/devrooms>
2. Is it possible to make a submission for a lightning talk?
There will soon be a call-for-papers for the ltalks. Keep an eye on the list or website. All the best and see you in Brussels Christophe -- Christophe Vandeplas cvandeplas@fosdem.org http://www.fosdem.org

I was wondering for the lightening talks is it possible to send in papers for more than one lightening talk, or is this limited to a single request per person ? I am interested to do one about dstat and one about mrepo, and maybe one about technical documentation made easy. But if only one is considered per person I won't go into all the trouble of preparing more than that :-) -- -- dag wieers, dag@wieers.com, http://dag.wieers.com/ -- [Any errors in spelling, tact or fact are transmission errors]

Good point. IIRC the idea is to limit it to one lightning talk per person. But Tias is in charge of the Lightning Talks and will announce them (as well as the conditions) soon ;) Stay tuned :) cheers - -- -o) Pascal Bleser <loki@fosdem.org> http://www.fosdem.org /\\ FOSDEM 2008 :: 23 + 24 February 2008 in Brussels _\_v Free and Opensource Software Developers European Meeting -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHYY8Pr3NMWliFcXcRAtDRAJ45ZDFvhxFVYaz+2imDqG6pZdgH7ACgj5UF WgFhOx6gZbCcPDjjtbPsS/Q= =zTjd -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
