I'm dealing with the keysigning party this year. I need to get someone who understands "the web" to put the necessary noises on the fosdem.org site, and set up the keyserver infrastructure. These things will happen this week. Watch this space. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Please don't Cc me, I am philip@fosdem.org subscribed to the list.

Happy to hear that. Just a detail, can we try to manage it inside corridors. (there's some long enough) Last year was particulary a cold one :-) -- Bruno Friedmann

Yeah, that was chilly. Alternatively, we could all line up at the frîtes van and just go to the back of the line again once we'd gotten served... =D

I honestly don't know. It will depend mainly on the length of the keylist. The amount of time spent in the cold is also directly proportional to the preparedness and discipline of the participants, which itself is partly a function of the algorithm used. I will have a think about where to optimize. Suggestions (if any) in unicast please, let's keep fosdem@ low-traffic. I know there are at least as many opinions on this as participants. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Please don't Cc me, I am philip@fosdem.org subscribed to the list. Hindsight is an exact science.
Hi About Keysigning party and also Assurance event I've requested Saturday and Sunday noon break 2 rooms. Nothing heard yet from the organisation team about that request .... In 2009 someone got a big room on Saturday so the assurance party was in the room. So my plan was to get this room one day for assurance party and the 2nd day for keysigning party -- mit freundlichen Grüßen / best regards Ulrich Schroeter - CAcert Event Organisation Officer, CAcert Case Manager, CAcert Arbitrator CAcert.org - Free Certificates E-Mail: Events@CAcert.org & Ulrich@CAcert.org -----Original Message----- From: fosdem-bounces@lists.fosdem.org [mailto:fosdem-bounces@lists.fosdem.org] On Behalf Of Bruno Friedmann Sent: Monday, January 04, 2010 6:10 PM To: fosdem@lists.fosdem.org Subject: Re: [Fosdem] Is there a Keysigning-Party planned? Ulrich, Like last year we have reserved a two hour room for the keysigning. During this keysigning gpg/pgp AND cacert will be done. http://fosdem.org/2010/schedule/events/keysigning It is however not possible to allocate two times a 2 hour timeslot. (Yes, we know that some people would like to attend both signing sessions) Can I put you as organiser for the Cacert part? You will then be responsible for ordering people in a row for the assurance signing. Cheers Christophe 2010/1/8 <ulrich@cacert.org>:

Because we have 230+ lectures during the two days and have usually 10+ simultaneous lectures. Currently the devrooms are not yet scheduled. If you want to have an example how it will look. Check out our schedule of last edition: http://archive.fosdem.org/2009/schedule/days Cheers Christophe

As Christophe said: because it's impossible within the bounds of our four-dimensional constraints to make the schedule suit everyone. Note though, that there is more than one LPI exam session. In other words, if you want to attend the keysigning and take an LPI exam, you should sign up for an LPI session which does not conflict with the keysigning. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Please don't Cc me, I am philip@fosdem.org subscribed to the list. <DW> I actually have a proper bed in this house, first time ever <Pornie> I didnt see your house last year, where did you live last year? <Pornie> Oh thats right, you lived with me
