Hello Stephan, You have submitted a talk proposal "The Tumbleweed Factory" for the Distribution Devroom at Fosdem 2015. Thank you very much again for your contribution and for helping make Fosdem an interesting conference. We have now finalized the schedule and your talk is scheduled as follows: Title: The Tumbleweed Factory Begin: Sun, 10:35 End: Sun, 11:25 Room: H.1302 (Depage) We've managed to allow for any time preferences and constraints you mentioned. Nevertheless, please do reply to this mail and confirm that the schedule works for you and you are still happy to hold your talk at Fosdem 2015. The full schedule of the distributions devroom is at https://fosdem.org/2015/schedule/track/distributions/ Furthermore, we'd appreciate it if you could review your submission description and abstract and make sure that it is accurate and gives the Fosdem visitor a good idea of what the talk is about and why they should be visiting your talk specifically. You can access your talk at https://penta.fosdem.org/submission/FOSDEM15/event/2955 Also verify that your biography information is filled in if this is relevant for you. Some more general information about the schedule: We have planned a buffer of 5min between talks for setup and to give vistors time to find a seat etc. Please make sure that your notebook is able to connect to the projector as any delays will cut into the time allotted for your talk. Due to the many talks we cannot allow any overruns as it would affect every later talk. In the same vein, please do try to be at the devroom on time. I would suggest to plan to be there 10min before your talk is scheduled to start. 5 minutes safety margin, 5 minutes setup time. If you would like to verify that your equipment is compatible with the Fosdem equipment please do feel free to drop by Saturday morning between 10:00 and 10:20 and you'll be able to test your equipment. Despite our initial fear that we'd need to curtail your talk to 45min in most cases we were actually able to give you the requested slot time (+-5min). Please double check however if the talk duration on the schedule works for you. If you need any special preparation for your talk: e.g. whiteboard, more chairs for co-speakers etc. please do notify us _before_ Fosdem starts so that we are able to arrange for these things. Should you have any questions or comments you can contact the devroom organizers at distributions-devroom(a)lists.fosdem.org. If you're stranded in Brussels and you need to reach us more urgent than email, I'll be having my personal phone with me and you can dial me at +31 6-81110317. No prank calls please. :-) Cheers, Andreas Thienemann on behalf of the Distribution Dev Room Program Committee Andreas Thienemann, Christoph Wickert, Jim Perrin, Rikki Endsley and Robyn Bergeron

Hello Johan, First of all, apologies for the delay in getting you this status update about your talk submission. We had a lot of submissions to review and unfortunately real-life intruded more than expected. You have submitted a talk proposal "From Debian-GIS to OSGeo live and back" for the Distribution Devroom at Fosdem 2015. Thank you very much for your contribution and for helping make Fosdem an interesting conference. I'm very happy to inform you, that your talk has been accepted. We are currently finalizing the schedule for the devroom. If you requested a certain day for your talk, we should be able to accommodate your preference. Once we have your talk scheduled we'll be sending you another mail with the necessary details. Due to the large amount of excellent submissions we would like to limit the general talk duration to 45 minutes including audience questions if wanted. If your talk is planned to be 45min or shorter, you're good. If your talk is scheduled to be longer than 45min we'd like to ask you to see if you can shorten the talk to 45min. If this is not possible, please do get in touch with us and we'll figure something out. Should you have any questions or comments you can contact the devroom organizers at distributions-devroom(a)lists.fosdem.org. Hello Alessio, First of all, apologies for the delay in getting you this status update about your talk submission. We had a lot of submissions to review and unfortunately real-life intruded more than expected. You have submitted a talk proposal "NethServer: Simplify your CentOS!" for the Distribution Devroom at Fosdem 2015. Thank you very much for your contribution and for helping make Fosdem an interesting conference. I am sorry but I have to tell you that your talk offer has been declined for the distribution devroom. We had a lot of excellent submissions and as we unfortunately only have two days of conference time some talks could not be accepted. In your case we found that the description of your talk suggests a different audience than we are trying to reach with the distribution room. The distribution devroom is aiming at the maintainers of Linux distributions and the toolset they use. The NethServer project appears to be an interesting project and the use of CentOS as a base is an excellent showcase for the flexibility of free and open source software. Unfortunately the NethServer product seems to be targeted at end-users and beginner-users with no or little Linux knowledge which does not match up with our aim of targeting the developers and maintainers of Free and Open-Source software. As I had already indicated a while ago on IRC, I was a bit doubtful if we do have space for this talk and unfortunately at the end of the day it turns out we ran out of time. Again, I am very sorry we do not have better news for you. I do hope that you'll submit another talk next year at which point we'll hopefully be able to find space in the talk schedule for you. Should you have any questions or comments you can contact the devroom organizers at distributions-devroom(a)lists.fosdem.org. Cheers, Andreas Thienemann on behalf of the Distribution Dev Room Program Committee Andreas Thienemann, Christoph Wickert, Jim Perrin, Rikki Endsley and Robyn Bergeron

Hello Neependra, First of all, apologies for the delay in getting you this status update about your talk submission. We had a lot of submissions to review and unfortunately real-life intruded more than expected. You have submitted a talk proposal "Evaluating Container Performance with respect to bare-metal and VMs" for the Distribution Devroom at Fosdem 2015. Your talk however seems to be focusing on virtualization performance comparison which is rather independent of any distribution maintainers work. As your talk might be of interest for the virtualization devroom however I have reassigned it to that devroom. Unfortunately I have no insight into their planning and cannot say anything about your chances there. Hello Lukacs, First of all, apologies for the delay in getting you this status update about your talk submission. We had a lot of submissions to review and unfortunately real-life intruded more than expected. You have submitted a talk proposal "Bazel: the Google build tool" for the Distribution Devroom at Fosdem 2015. Bazel however is a piece of software that would be chosen by upstream developers for building their software and not by distribution maintainers. Again, I am very sorry we do not have better news for you. I do hope that you'll submit another talk next year at which point we'll hopefully be able to find space in the talk schedule for you.
