Distributions Devroom talk submission
by Mark Wielaard 16 Dec '15

16 Dec '15

Hi, I submitted a talk for the Distributions Devroom: https://penta.fosdem.org/submission/FOSDEM16/event/4455 = Where are your symbols, debuginfo and sources? - A package is more than a binary - make it observable The call for participation said that acceptance notifications would be sent on 15th December. But I haven't seen an acceptance or rejection notice yet. If you have already decided on which talks will be accepted could you let me know whether or not mine was (and if possible why). Thanks, Mark

Adding 'decause' to CFP review list?
by Remy DeCausemaker 11 Dec '15

11 Dec '15

distro-devroom folks, I'm helping bstinson/KBSingh review the CFP's, but I don't see any submissions listed for me under my penta account. I heard from bstinson that pinging this list was the right way to get access, but if this isn't the right place, please advise me where to go instead. Many Thanks, --RemyD. -- Remy DeCausemaker Fedora Community Lead & Council <decause(a)redhat.com> https://whatcanidoforfedora.org

VirtualBox guest tools, upstream and distributions
by Michael Thayer 02 Dec '15

Hello, I was wondering whether the topic of how the VirtualBox guest tools are packaged by distributions would be a reasonable subject for a lightning talk, assuming you still have space for one? So far I haven't got my act together to submit one (too busy developing), but I might still do. I would like to keep it short, as I am more interested in listening and conversing than telling people things (and I must admit in getting a bit more contact with the people involved). The basic tenor would be: so far we have tried to keep our guest tools out of distributions, as we like to be able to upgrade them on distribution versions which are no longer well maintained, but distributions are keen to provide them in versions which are maintained. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, Michael -- ORACLE Deutschland B.V. & Co.
