Please let us know which talks you are thinking of, maybe simplest off-list (your post didn't make it, I don't recall how to login and manage this mailing list right now). We are happy to co-ordinate with other devrooms to get a better overall schedule. /Simon Mahmoud Abdelghany <blackbeard334(a)protonmail.com> writes: > Hey guys, > > I hope this message finds you well. > > My name is Mahmoud, and I’m one of the co-organizers of the Forensics > devroom. Hi There will be a Security Devroom at FOSDEM'2025! Help organizing this is appreciated, we can use this list to discuss. Maybe we can spread the news a bit to get some more volunteers. Lukas, Jakub and me has volunteered so far. First things is to finalize a Call for Participation, what do you think about the starting point below? Copied from an earlier CfP, the detail about submissions is not published by FOSDEM yet, and I don't think the links work and may have changed. Please propose changes, especially if you can think of some new topic of interest (the current one is intentionally fuzzy to allow everything). There is a github project we can use too: https://github.com/security-devroom/fosdem-2025 /Simon Participants and speakers! ## Overview When: February 1-2th, 2025 Where: Brussels, Belgium at ULB How: physical event ## Our topics this year This is the Security Devroom and we invite you to submit a talk that is relevant to security in the free software and open source world. Suggested duration for a timeslot to apply for is **25 minutes** (20 min presentation + 5 mins questions). The schedule shall be finalized by **15 December 2024**. Thank you for the FOSDEM 2023
by Jakub Jelen 09 Feb '23

09 Feb '23

Thank you everyone. This weekend was another great FOSDEM in Brussels! I would like to thank everyone who helped the Security Devroom to happen this year again! To all who helped putting the CfP together, submitted their talks, helped me to go through the talks, helped throughout the event and who gave their talks, even with the last-minute amendments. As well as all the FOSDEM organizers and volunteers. If you gave a talk, please make sure that the slides are uploaded in Penta. You should also have a link to the video review (if it was working at the time of your talk). If you attended security devroom, please, provide a feedback to the presenters. This information will be valuable for all of us, organizers as well as the presenters. If you have a feedback generic to Fosdem, use the feedback email on the website [1]. If you have any feedback for the security devroom organization, use either this mailing list, or direct emails on the github [2].
