Hi Bastian, If the jobs you offer concern the usage, management or development of open source products then it fits our policy. Maybe an example can help: + "System admin for openbsd servers, nagios,.. wanted"; that looks fine, isn't it? - "System admin for our servers, incl Linux, HP-UX and MS Windows"; doesn't really match ... I hope this clears up things. Christophe -- Christophe Vandeplas cvandeplas(a)fosdem.org http://www.fosdem.org

Job Corner
by Christophe Vandeplas 19 Feb '08

19 Feb '08

During last edition we noticed a demand for a regulated job corner. This year we are proud to announce companies will be able to inform you (our visitors) about job opportunities in open source or free software. The job corner will be around the end of the main hallway (H building). We'd like to stress on these rules: Allowed * Open Source Related * Open Source Development * Open Source Products Integration * Flyers with info about the job * Passive Recruitment (paper) Forbidden * NO Non-Open Source Jobs * NO Partially Open Source * NO Job adverts on other places than the job corner * NO Active Recruitment (inviting visitors to look at your jobs) Please respect what we do and don't break these rules -- Christophe Vandeplas cvandeplas(a)fosdem.org http://www.fosdem.org

GPG keysigning
by Wouter Verhelst 12 Feb '08

12 Feb '08

Hello World!\n The issues with the GPG keyserver have been fixed, more or less. Submitting keys is possible again; viewing your keys through http://ksp.fosdem.org/keys isn't, yet. Those of you who've been waiting, please try again now. I expect to be preparing the list of keys sometime next weekend. Thanks, and sorry for the downtime, -- <Lo-lan-do> Home is where you have to wash the dishes. -- #debian-devel, Freenode, 2004-09-22

FOSDEM Beer Event - Pink Elephant Edition
by Philip Paeps 12 Feb '08

12 Feb '08

Gang, I've just put the practical details regarding this year's FOSDEM beer event online on fosdem.org: <http://www.fosdem.org/2008/beerevent_practical> As always - if you're bringing a busload of people, please send me a little email so I can deal with last-minute dimensioning issues. As we have a rather larger bar with rather more staff at our disposal this year than previous years, busloads are less of a problem. :-) See you all next Friday! - Philip -- Philip Paeps Please don't Cc me, I am philip(a)fosdem.org subscribed to the list. "One minute I'm just another rabbit and happy about it, next minute *whazaam*, I'm thinking. That's a major drawback if you're looking for happiness as a rabbit, let me tell you. You want grass and sex, not thoughts like 'What's it all about, when you get right down to it?'" -- (Terry Pratchett, Moving Pictures)

LPI and BSDA exams: final schedule + change of rooms
by Pascal Bleser 08 Feb '08

08 Feb '08

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 http://fosdem.org/2008/exam_schedules_announced The final schedule has been published on our website (see link above). Note that, as opposed to the initial announcement, the exams won't take place in the room "Lameere". Instead, it will be in "Decroly" (for BSDA) and "Guillissen" (for LPI), which are in the same U building as Lameere and the second main conference room ("Chavanne") -- of course, signalisation will be provided to guide you there. cheers - -- -o) Pascal Bleser <loki(a)fosdem.org> http://www.fosdem.org /\\ FOSDEM 2008 :: 23 + 24 February 2008 in Brussels _\_v Free and Opensource Software Developers European Meeting -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHrLcgr3NMWliFcXcRAr0GAJ9a0pqgab8Np1m77XAmZLpy/np9nQCfev2q ChnWQSSuQK5TuSJWpT+Q/jU= =7iW8 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
