Anyone driving to fosdem on Friday morning? Not picky about time. Alternatively: anyone wants to visit the hackerspace in Ghent and drop me off in Brussels Thursday evening/night?

The staff are not de-facto 'shareholders', there are no shares to hold. Some are volunteers. > 3. FSFE calls their members 'fellows', there are many more fellows than 20. It says fellows never were members, there are no more fellows, sorry https://danielpocock.com/an-fsfe-fellowship-representatives-dilemma <https://danielpocock.com/an-fsfe-fellowship-representatives-dilemma> we were fooled 9 staff can make meeting in Berlin and delete fellows from the constitution? That is charity? All my friends stop with FSFE now

From Germany to Brussels
by Yannik Catalinac 28 Jan '19

28 Jan '19

Hello people, anyone from Germany who would like to travel with me to Brussels? I'm living in the south (Ravensburg) and I have 6 free seats in my car. I could also pick you up on the way. So sharing the fuel costs and saving money for more nerd stuff would be nice ;) Greetings Yannik

Sojourner schedule webapp update
by Jarek 28 Jan '19

28 Jan '19

Hi everyone, I am happy to announce updated version of Sojourner-Web FOSDEM conference scheduler: https://sojourner.loomchild.net It's a progressive web app that you can add to you phone home screen. Once installed it works fully offline. It allows you to select your favourite events before coming to the conference and can show you the room open/full status during the event. Latest features include ability to share data between different devices and event search. Hope you'll enjoy it - any feedback is welcome. See you in Brussels next weekend! Jarek Lipski

No chance, i would have had to have known this, and potentially two other intel employees plight, before the new year. This knowledge would've kept me from reducing all talks to 30 minutes, and would have seen me deny some speakers, speakers which now already got confirmation. > I do hope that I will get another opportunity to present my talk at > FOSDEM in the future because by far FOSDEM has been the best open > source graphics conference I have ever been to. This is sadly not going to be likely until intel travel policies change. For 2020, no intel employees talks will be scheduled until i have confirmation that budget has been approved. This effectively means that intel employees will be scheduled after everyone else and will likely no longer fit the 8 hours we have available. Luc Verhaegen.
