Hi, I saw my name on the list of donation draw winners [1] for a Linux Magazine subscription. The web page says that winners will be contacted, but I haven't heard anything about that so far. Did I miss something? [1] http://fosdem.org/2011/news/donation-draw-winners

Thanks! As a participant in FOSDEM, I am aware of the basics of the conference. I am interested in how much of the budget was spent on travel costs/accomodation, how much on the venue etc. Also, how did you get to the sponsors? I am not part of the FOSDEM team, but the venue is free and there is no paid-for advertisement at all. [FOSDEM] Budget outline for FOSDEM, needed to organize other project

Hey guys, I'm co-organizing an upcoming F/LOSS event in Africa, called FEDACON, the Fedora African Conference. As most of us are quite new to organizing such events, we would like, if possible, to see how FOSDEM organized their budget, i.e how much money was spend on T-Shirts, pens, how much money on the venue (if any!), how much money on advertising, and also how the income structure looked like. Thanks, Jakub Szypulka

Hi jacob, Afrika is a big place, which country are you looking for to get things organised? I have some experience and contacts in Egypt if you are interested. I was also involved in the beginning of fisdem in the Life/VA Linux context long, long time ago. As Linuxbe.com we might also provide moderate sponsoring to get things started, if you are interested. Good luck! Jasper On 23 Apr 2011 16:16, "Jakub Szypulka" <cubibubi(a)googlemail.com> wrote:
