New online ics files agenda are wrong
by Bruno Friedmann 05 Feb '09

05 Feb '09

Hi all fossdemer's I've just try to refresh my agenda with all new event but the file downloaded on fosdem website doesn't load in sunbird, korganizer nor google-calendar. There's some errors with the END:VEVENT placement . Here how I transform the wrong to have a loadable calendars sed -e "s/END:VEVENT$/\\r\\nEND:VEVENT/g" < fossdem_wrong.ics > fossdem.ics afterthat a dos2unix fossdem.ics Et voilà. I'm trying to join the corrected file as attachement. But it would certainly be better if it comes from fossdem organizers. ps : to check validity of and exported ics file, just try to import it inside google-calendar or other software mentionned at the beginning. Happy to see you at Bruxelles tomorrow afternoon. Oh my god ! It's not inserted inside the calendar ... :-))) Resend with little data -- Bruno Friedmann

Re: [FOSDEM] Room for Sugar meeting on Friday
by Bernie Innocenti 04 Feb '09

[cc += fosdem@, iaep@] Benjamin, where do we meet? I'm telling people to come at 10AM, but perhaps it would it would be wiser for us to arrive at 9AM so we can organize together. My mobile numbers are +39-377-1436808 and +39-329-4008545 I've seen the generic directions for the HSB, but do you have any suggestions for shortcuts coming from the Frederiksborg Hotel in Avenue Broustin? Most of us are staying there. Updates regarding the event are being published in our wiki (feel free to edit as needed): http://sugarlabs.org/go/MarketingTeam/Events/FOSDEM_2009 Benjamin Henrion wrote: > On Mon, Jan 26, 2009 at 4:30 AM, Christoph Derndorfer > <e0425826(a)student.tuwien.ac.at> wrote: >> Benjamin Henrion schrieb: >>> On Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 2:53 PM, Bernie Innocenti <bernie(a)codewiz.org> >>> wrote: >>>> Thanks for the kind offer! Accomodation
by Allan Day 04 Feb '09

04 Feb '09

Hi all, I'm trying to find a bed in a hostel for Friday and Saturday night (the 6th and 7th). Trying being the operative word. Can't seem to find any space anywhere. Why do I always leave these things too late?! If anyone has a spare bed in a room, or knows somewhere that has space, do let me know! Thanks, Allan

LPI 2 modules/exams per certification?
by Dieter Plaetinck 03 Feb '09

03 Feb '09

Hi all, Some lpi certifications require 2 exams/modules. ( http://fosdem.org/2009/lpi ) What's the approach one should take to go for e.g. a LPIC-1 certification? Should I go through http://lpievent.lpice.eu/index.php twice? (one for each exam) Can I do the 101/102 exams right after each other (or in one session) or should I apply for 2 exams in different sessions, maybe even on different days? I was told participants were obliged to keep at least one full day between successive exams, but I could not find any information about that on the lpi and fosdem website. Thanks, Dieter

iCal schedule
by Olivier Samyn 03 Feb '09

03 Feb '09

Hello, I just tried to import the iCal schedule in mozilla sunbird and evolution, and it seems there is something going wrong in the Pentabarf exporter. Lines starting with ATTENDEE are not followed by a new line. So, if you have multiple attendees, they are all putted on the same line (but splitted at column 80 like the rest). And in all cases, the END:VEVENT tag that follow the ATTENDEE one is not on it's own line. If I put all those END:VEVENT on a new line, it solves the parsing errors. It should be useful to have a working ical export ;) Regards, Olivier.
