Keysigning: list of participants now available
by Philip Paeps 02 Feb '10

02 Feb '10

All, The list of participants for this weekend's keysigning party is now available. If you're taking part in the keysigning event, you should now: o Download the list: http://ksp.fosdem.org/files/ksp-fosdem2010.txt o Optionally, if there's a trust path between you PGP key and mine, verify the integrity of the file using the detached signature: http://ksp.fosdem.org/files/ksp-fosdem2010.txt.asc e.g. using: % gpg --verify ksp-fosdem2010.txt.asc ksp-fosdem2010.txt o Verify that your fingerprint as shown on the list is correct. o Calculate the checksums of the file holding the list of keys. e.g. using: % gpg --print-md SHA256 ksp-fosdem2010.txt % gpg --print-md RIPEMD160 ksp-fosdem2010.txt o Print this list of keys with fingerprints on paper. o Write the checksums you calculated in the designated blanks. o Don't lose the list, and bring it with you on Sunday. I'm still deciding whether to spam every individual uid on the list. See you Sunday! - Philip -- Philip Paeps Please don't Cc me, I am philip(a)fosdem.org subscribed to the list.

Keysigning: submissions closed
by Philip Paeps 02 Feb '10

02 Feb '10

The deadline for submitting keys has elapsed. We have 254 keys in total. Almost a nice round number. Did someone bet we'd have fewer than 250 participants this year? ;-) I'll generate the final keylist and instructions tomorrow morning. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Please don't Cc me, I am philip(a)fosdem.org subscribed to the list.

Searching for a lift on Friday
by Nikolas Garofil 01 Feb '10

01 Feb '10

I live in Edegem (near Antwerp) and I am looking for someone willing to take a passenger from Edegem (or somewhere else in the vicinity of Antwerp) to the beerevent Friday. The time doesn't matter, I can help setting everything up or hang out in Brussels the hours before it begins. I'm going by train to FOSDEM Saturday and Sunday, so I only need transportation on Friday. Although I am looking for transportation to and from the event, I would also appreciate one-way transportation.

Hello , is anyone driving from Berlin to FOSDEM ? I would like to attend but the tickets are quite expensive at the moment, so if someone has a spare seat it would be really nice. Cheers, Vasilis

Keysigning: please submit your keys
by Philip Paeps 01 Feb '10

01 Feb '10

As threatened, I'll be herding the keysigning bits this year. I spent some quality time this afternoon setting up the necessary technical infastructure. If you intend to participate in the keysigning event, please submit the keys you'd like to have signed to the evil perl hack^W^W^Wkeyserver listening on ksp.fosdem.org. If you're using GnuPG, that can be easily accomplished with: % gpg --keyserver ksp.fosdem.org --send-key <your-keyid> Since error handling in the keyserver bits of gpg is "amusing", you may want to check if your key actually made it to the server by pointing a webbrowser at: http://ksp.fosdem.org/. As soon as I find someone who understands the complicated content damagement system running on http://fosdem.org/, I'll get them to put this announcement there too. Happy submitting. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Please don't Cc me, I am philip(a)fosdem.org subscribed to the list. If reproducibility may be a problem conduct the test only once.

Luggage during FOSDEM
by Ewald Tienkamp 01 Feb '10

01 Feb '10

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Hi everyone, Is it possible to store or leave luggage somewhere (moderately safe) during FOSDEM on Saturday and/or Sunday? That would save me either a trip to my CouchSurf address or carrying it along everywhere.
