Small run of "other size" t-shirts
by Philip Paeps 07 Feb '12

07 Feb '12

Like last year, I'm going to try to do a small run of t-shirts in "other sizes" for people who consistently fail to get a t-shirt at the conference because their body does not fit in one of the sizes we can conveniently source in bulk. Note that I can't promise anything. Printing small numbers of t-shirts is very resource intensive. I can only ask our printer nicely and they will see what they can do for us because they like us. If you're interested in a FOSDEM t-shirt in a size that wasn't available, please drop me an email off-list. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Senior Reality Engineer Ministry of Information

Thank you

Hi, As the smalltalk devroom manager I would like to thank the orga team for creating a great conference. It was the first time we were able to participate, and we liked it very much. Everything was well prepared and we were happy to be able to show what the smalltalkers are currently doing, and to take a good look at what other projects are doing. Very inspiring, thank you! Lost in building K: loudspeakers and Firefox plush toy
by Benoit Leseul 07 Feb '12

07 Feb '12

Hi everyone, When I came back to the Mozilla booth after closing the developer room on Sunday evening, everything was packed already and I haven't had the chance to check the contents of the various bags and packages. I've now figured out I may have left a few things behind: * A pair of old Trust loudspeakers * A Firefox plush toy (I fear that one may have been stolen due to too much cuteness) Is there a place where all lost and found items have been collected? Or has anyone seen them after Sunday afternoon? Thanks! -- Benoit

Keysigning: signing homework
by Philip Paeps 05 Feb '12

05 Feb '12

As I type this, the keysigning event is on-going behind me. My apologies for the confusion about venue. I hope everyone is enjoying / will have enjoyed the warmth of the U-building lobby! You may be surprised to learn that I do in fact value suggestions and any constructive criticism. ;) I think the sorting outside worked well. We should remember to do that again next year. I'll also try to make the instructions on where to meet clearer next year. If you didn't catch the hashes as they flew past, you can verify them against the list of hashes on https://ksp.fosdem.org/files/. If you don't trust that, try to run into me somewhere during the remainder of FOSDEM, and you can read them off my laptop. Please try to complete your signing homework before Sunday 10 June 2012. You may find "caff" a helpful tool. Note: don't sign keys whose owners you haven't actually met at the keysigning event this afternoon. Thanks all for attending. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Senior Reality Engineer Ministry of Information

ULB parking lot
by Geert Uytterhoeven 04 Feb '12

04 Feb '12

It's winter, there's lots of snow. Sometimes it's difficult to see the white lines on the road. Please realize that each "block" on the parking lot is supposed to provide space for 3 (three) cars. I know the parking spaces are small, but unless you're driving a big SUV (which is allowed only if you fill it completely with "FOSDEM-gangers" :-), 3 cars should fit. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation ... and CU again tomorrow!
