Keysigning: signing homework
by Philip Paeps 07 Feb '11

07 Feb '11

As I type this, the keysigning event is on-going. Thanks to Karlheinz for acting out the "honorary Philip" role -- I appear to have been double-booked during the keysigning time. If you didn't catch the hashes as they flew past, you can verify them against the list of hashes on https://ksp.fosdem.org/files/. Please try to complete your signing homework before Sunday 5 June 2011. You may find "caff" a helpful tool. Note: don't sign keys whose owners you haven't actually met at the keysigning event this afternoon. (Like mine!) Thanks all for attending. - Philip -- Philip Paeps Please don't Cc me, I am philip(a)fosdem.org subscribed to the list. For some reason, I was about to compare Dante's nine levels of hell with a book I have at home about the Linux kernel. -- Cosmo

Instead of explicitly seeking to sanction the patentability of software, they are now seeking to create a central European patent court, which would establish and enforce patentability rules in their favor, without any possibility of correction by competing courts or democratically elected legislators."

Hi, I just would like to thank all the organizers and volunteers for theire hard work that made the event possible and enjoyable. The Perl stand was a great success, especially Meeltje, the camel we had on our table. The Perl dev-room was packed during the whole day. Even the first talk at 9:00 almost filled the room. regards and see you next year! Gabor -- Gabor Szabo http://szabgab.com/

Hi, are you planning to publish the videos in the free WebM format? (They generally generate smaller files for the same quality and free en/decoder programs exists) Greetings, Nathan -- To understand recursion, you must first understand recursion.

Printed schedule bug: Free Java on Sunday in AW1.125
by Tom Marble 02 Feb '11

02 Feb '11

Philip (et cie): I'd like to call your attention a tiny bug with the printed schedule [0]. On page 3 the room AW1.125 will be the Free Java devroom (the title says OS Telephony). And the last talk ends at 17:00 (the Garbage Collection is just a 5-min conclusion). The online and mobile versions seem to be correct [1] and people can learn more details on our wiki [2]. Thanks for all your hard work and we are looking forward to this weekend! --Tom [0] http://fosdem.org/2011/schedule/schedule.pdf [1] http://fosdem.org/2011/schedule/track/free_java_devroom [2] http://wiki.debian.org/Java/DevJam/2011/Fosdem/TalkSchedule

Hi all! When opening http://m.fosdem.org/ on my iPhone, I get a white page without any text. Is this the intended behavior? ;) --Benny. -- The first essential in chemistry is that you should perform practical work and conduct experiments, for he who performs not practical work nor makes experiments will never attain the least degree of mastery. -- Abu Musa Jabir ibn Hayyan (721-815)
