Could you please avoid replies using some sort of base64 encoded html? I am receiving the list in digest format and all I see from such mails are unreadable (at least for humans like me) base64 blocks like this: Am 04.01.2010 um 21:52 schrieb fosdem-request(a)lists.fosdem.org: > ------------------------------ > > Message: 2 > Date: Mon, 4 Jan 2010 17:34:20 +0100 > From: Philip Paeps <philip(a)fosdem.org> > Subject: Re: [FOSDEM] Is it too late to set up a stand? > To: Andrew Stormont <andyjstormont(a)googlemail.com> > Cc: FOSDEM visitors <fosdem(a)lists.fosdem.org> > Message-ID: <20100104163420.GI8230(a)rincewind.paeps.cx> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" > > T24gMjAxMC0wMS0wNCAxNzowOToxMiAoKzAxMDApLCBBbmRyZXcgU3Rvcm1vbnQgPGFuZH > lqc3Rv > cm1vbnRAZ29vZ2xlbWFpbC5jb20+IHdyb3RlOgo > +IElzIGl0IHRvbyBsYXRlIHRvIHNldCB1cCBh > IHN0YW5kPwoKWWVzLgoKIC0gUGhpbGlwCgotLSAKUGhpbGlwIFBhZXBzICAgICAgICAgIC > AgICAg > ICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgUGxlYXNlIGRvbid0IENjIG1lLCBJIGFtCnBoaWxpcE > Bmb3Nk > ZW0ub3JnICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICBzdWJzY3JpYmVkIHRvIH > RoZSBs > aXN0LgoKICBZZXN0ZXJkYXkgaXMgaGlzdG9yeS4KICBUb21vcnJvdyBpcyBhIG15c3Rlcn > kuCiAg > VG9kYXkgaXMgYSBnaWZ0LgogIFRoYXQncyB3aHkgaXQgaXMgY2FsbGVkICdwcmVzZW50Jy > 4KLS0t > LS0tLS0tLS0tLS0gbmV4dCBwYXJ0IC0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tCkEgbm9uLXRleHQgYXR0YW > NobWVu > dCB3YXMgc2NydWJiZWQuLi4KTmFtZTogbm90IGF2YWlsYWJsZQpUeXBlOiBhcHBsaWNhdG > lvbi9w > Z3Atc2lnbmF0dXJlClNpemU6IDE5NiBieXRlcwpEZXNjOiBub3QgYXZhaWxhYmxlClVybC > A6IGh0 > dHA6Ly9saXN0cy5mb3NkZW0ub3JnL3BpcGVybWFpbC9mb3NkZW0vYXR0YWNobWVudHMvMj > AxMDAx > MDQvMjRmMjhiYTUvYXR0YWNobWVudC0wMDAxLnBncAo= > > ------------------------------ thanks, Lars

room hotel bargain
by Rolf Leggewie 20 Jan '10

20 Jan '10

Hi, I have a non-cancellable 75€ hotel reservation for the FOSDEM Saturday night at the four-star NH Atlanta Hotel on my hands that I won't be using. http://www.nh-hotels.com/nh/en/hotels/belgium/brussels/nh-atlanta-brussels.… It's a room for double occupancy (two separate twin-sized or one queen-sized bed at your choice). If you're still looking for accomodation and don't mind a bit more comfort than a hostel ;-) this may be for you. I'm looking to cut my losses and would let this one go for 50€. Please reply privately so as not to clutter the list. Thank you. See you in Brussels Rolf

News : FOSDEM Smartphone applications
by info＠fosdem.org 17 Jan '10

17 Jan '10

In an effort to make FOSDEM even more paperless, there is now an iPhone application with the FOSDEM schedule. The application has a few features that make it nicer to use than the paper booklet, such as being able to download the latest schedule, read the descriptions of all the talks or view a map for each event. And best of all, it's not paper! The Maemo and Android apps will be published soon. -------- IPHONE -------------------------------------------------------------- The source code, written by Adam Ziolkowski and Leon Handreke, is available on GitHub [1] under the Beerware License. You can download it from the AppStore for free! The app is available for your iPhone over here [2]. -------- MAEMO --------------------------------------------------------------- Coming soon... -------- ANDROID ------------------------------------------------------------- Coming soon... FOSDEM iPhone App
by Leon Handreke 16 Jan '10

Hey everybody! In an effort to make FOSDEM even more paperless, Adam Ziolkowski and me have created an iPhone application with the FOSDEM schedule. Unlike with the paper booklet, you can always download the most up-to-date schedule in case there are some last-minute changes. You can also view only lectures going on or starting soon, which could come in useful. We have also put in a map for each event, showing you where it is. We have released the source on GitHub [1] under the Beerware License, so feel free to adapt it for your own conference. It's quite flexible, being based on the xcal files generated by the pentabarf system FOSDEM uses. You can download it from the AppStore for free, I hope it'll be useful for some people! Cheers, Leon [1] http://github.com/leonbrussels/fosdem

Hello All! I've had a look at the list of devrooms on: http://fosdem.org/2010/schedule/devrooms The embedded devroom is not listed there. Does that mean there will be no embedded devroom, or is it just am omission? Regards, Yann E. MORIN. -- .-----------------.--------------------.------------------.--------------------. | Yann E. Hello, Can somebody confirm if Drupal have a devroom on Sunday, as {fosdem,drupal}.org appear to contradict each other. I was hoping to bring some friends to FOSDEM on the basis they get to play with some of the Drupal community for half the weekend. http://www.fosdem.org/2010/schedule/devrooms http://groups.drupal.org/fosdem http://groups.drupal.org/node/40742 many thanks! -S
