Good coworking locations in Brussels?
by R. Tyler Croy 25 Jan '15

25 Jan '15

A fellow JRuby hacker and I will be in Brussels for Thursday and Friday and looking to get some work done while we're there. Could somebody, on or off-list, recommend some coworking spaces or other good hacking spaces for us to visit? I've had limited lyck in the past finding coffee shops with good wifi and power, so this time I figured I'd ask ahead :) Cheers, -R. Tyler Croy

mobile apps
by Tias Guns 24 Jan '15

24 Jan '15

Hi All, We are very grateful to the people that developed a FOSDEM-compatible mobile app! As such, we are offering a free t-shirt to those developers. Mail me your name and a link to a commit log and I'll have one set aside for you. By the way, if you know of an app not yet listed on https://fosdem.org/2015/schedule/mobile/ then do tell us! Kind regards, Tias

What is in my bag? What is in your bag?
by Pander 23 Jan '15

23 Jan '15

Hi all, I am curious to what peoplle carry in their bags at an event as FOSDEM. Anybody interested in a shared blog, Twitter hastag or something else where visiters of FOSDEM can share what they drag around. Reference images are: https://www.google.nl/search?q=what+is+in+my+bag+tech&tbm=isch What are your ideas for this? It could even be offered via FOSDEM apps. Regards, Pander

New events in app different background color
by Pander 20 Jan '15

20 Jan '15

Hi all, Could the app give all new events since the last usage of the app have a different background color? In this way it is much more easy to see what has been added by an update. Another way of solving this is also fine, e.g. a list of all events in sorted in order of update date. Thanks, Pander

Mobile app: FOSDEM companion
by Johan van Selst 16 Jan '15

16 Jan '15

Just for the record, a short note to let those interested know that the Android app `FOSDEM companion' works quite well on my phone. This has the updated information for 2015 that is also available on the website. I'm informing the list because it might be helpful for others and the page https://fosdem.org/2015/schedule/mobile/ asks to share experiences here. I am not involved with development this applicaiton, nor have I tested any other apps that are listed on the webpage. Regards, Johan

Re: [FOSDEM] Looking for sponsorship...!!
by Jasper Nuyens 16 Jan '15

Hello all, Accommodation-wise, we can offer place in our new office in Diegem. It's not an hotel, and not very close to FOSDEM (the other side of Brussels), but it is warm, we have toilet, a hot shower, free coffee and free drinks. The train connection from Diegem to Brussel Noord runs hourly (and takes 5 minutes). From there on: https://archive.fosdem.org/2014/practical/transportation/ But we might be able to just come and pick you up. We have only one sofa-bed right now, but can try to arrange more mattresses and such if needed. We have very good network connectivity, monitors and projector and such, if people would be interested to continue their hacking sessions in the after-FOSDEM hours. Send me an off-list message if you are interested. Driving from Bremen to FOSDEM
by Martin Scheffler 15 Jan '15

15 Jan '15

Hi all, I will start at Bremen central station friday around noon and return sunday evening. There are three free seats and lots of space for bags and stuff. I also have a hotel room near the campus, so if you bring a sleeping bag you can crash on the floor if you want. Drop me a line if you are interested! Cheers, Martin
